Today I'm happy to join the first misusu blogtour ever. I was selected to test the new pattern, the Doris skirt. Since my daughter doesn't like to pose inside, I decided to make one for her best friend as well. And with the two of them they had a lot of fun.
Doris is a fitted skirt so it's very important to measure your child correctly. Start with measuring your child's waist, hips and height. Elles spend a lot of time on the blending instructions.
For my daughter I measured size 86/98/116. For Ninte I started with size 110/122/128. No need to tell you I did a lot of blending. But As you can see ... everything went well.
Once you have a blended pattern, your skirt is almost ready. I think it took me less than an hour sewing time.
The green fabric is a french terry from the previous see you at six collection. The pinks are sweaters from Nosh. The paspels are made out of jersey. One is nosh, the other is one of Lotte Martens.
So if you have a lot of scraps waiting for the perfect pattern, hop over to the misusu website and buy this lovely pattern. There's a discount until the end of the blogtour. I can also tell you that there will be a surprise at the end of the blogtour on April 15th. Stay tuned!
The girls are both wearing a summer playsuit to go with their Doris skirt. It's a free pattern available at the see you at six website. And while you're there you will fall in love with their beautiful new collection of fabrics. So don't say I didn't worn you!
The left one is made out of Nosh jersey, now available in other collors. The right one is made out of Milly blu's jersey. Available in my local fabric store 'Stoffenheide'. The pink ribbing is Nosh. The green ribbing is See You at Six.
